Description
Iridescent purple glow with a bright magenta hue, Aroma of dark chocolate, cherries both red & black. Perfume characters of mainly violets are abound upon further inspection. Hints of spice with slight white pepper background. All this is just a memory when the wine enters the palate. The first thing to notice is the balance. There is not one dominating factor as the fruit oak tannin acid harmonise as one. That leads into such a fruit forward palate with once again so much going on. Think masachino cherries raspberry blueberry sugar coated jubes up front with a lingering dark chocolate & spice finish. Makes you want to keep coming back for more

The Nera D’Avola is a variety not well known and drunk in Australia but very popular in Europe and I think we’ll see it increasingly. It’s rich in flavour and fun to drink. Definitely give it a go.
